Monsterbeard: How to read Infinite Jest
How to read Infinite Jest
Here is how you read Infinite Jest. Feel the weight in your hand. Stare at the blue-sky-with-white-clouds cover. Get used to the shape and size in your bag.
This is where you put your two bookmarks. This is how you flip pages back and forth. Practice stopping at the end of sentences to go and read the endnotes. Practice putting bookmark A back in place for the...

Skylight Books & Infinite Summer
Pretty frickin’ awesome. I wish I’d known about Infinite Jest sooner; I would have made every effort to attend this event (sold my videogames, extra computer monitor and whatnot).

INFINITE JEST: The Movie
When I first came across this picture my first reaction was a hair-raising, excited gasp. “OH MY GOD THERE’S AN INFINITE JEST MOVIE COMING OUT?”
Then I realized it was just a (damn cool) piece of fan art. I don’t think Infinite Jest is a “filmable” work because it’s so long and complex (and how the heck to adapt the footnotes?). Still, someone may do a damn good job at it someday. My...
Is an Interwar German Philosopher the Inspiration for David Foster Wallace’s New Book?
A Vanity Fair article.
I can’t wait for this book to come out.
Here is the U.S. cover by Little Brown:
It was designed by Wallace’s widow, Karen Green.
This is the UK cover by Jon Gray:
